Halloween

The sun descends, into the night

Making way for a fearsome fright,

The moon, it rises, from horizon’s below

To cast the world in a moody glow

The ghastly ghouls and witches appear,

The night of the hallowed draws ever near

The night is quiet, an eerie chill,

The cool wind blows, yet settings are still.

A haunting awaits, from beyond the grave

A wait for one day we must save

Spirits will rise, and ghosts will appear,

The dead will walk, oh, them we must fear.

Hold together, we must stay strong,

Never be scared, the night is not long.

Last until morning, daylight will be seen,

And safe we will be, until next Halloween.
